About | Creeping Dust's genre is very home-brewed cultivator from when I was a teenager and didn't know any cultivator fiction 🤷‍♀️. He's a chaotic good necromancer, with a very strong sense of his own personal morals. He just so happens to be extremely against denigrating anyone's humanity. He's extremely professorial, and his primary drive is to acquire knowledge. He generally prefers to be devoted to his studies, but can and does make relationships. Creeping Dust comes from a world that's overrun with ghosts and curses, so the necromancers are generally the good guys who can help people. He is a monk in the order of the Ghost Dog.

How Involved is the Character?

I'm a slower player, otherwise he would be a little more involved. Let's blame it on his Studies. But if you want me somewhere it's easy to say he was lurking on it already, always easy to move him to action somewhere.

Character issues you wish to explore:

💀 He is a perfectionist and actually really can spiral out if something happens.
💀 His emotional capacity has been severely limited due to a ritual he took part in to become a master of the Ghost Dog's arts.
💀 Due to his emotional issues, he likes sex because he can actually kinda feel something. He can be real charming and smooth for the length of time it takes him to nut. Then he's back to his usual self.
💀 He's an ass, but he's very principled and doesn't want to see others hurt or used. He's a good dude under his otherwise shitty social skills.
💀 Has some trauma around trying to reconnect with his younger brother after they were separated for almost 20 years.
💀 Has a very reluctant background as an assassin, but he would say tbf he was assassinating enslavers and traitors. Stilll, he wanted to be a scholar not a killer.

Possible Plot Traits:

💀 If anyone has overtly "life" magic, it will make him very physically uncomfortable to be around you. He's a little bit partially dead.
💀 He's a trauma bonder. Those he suffers with are those that he becomes close with.
💀 If he hates you, you're probably his new best friend. He's a hatemancer.
💀 He's a big fan of coffee, and he doesn't tend to sleep.
💀 If you're wiling to learn, he's willing to teach. Is he a nice teacher, no. But he is an effective one.
💀 Fight differential: I generally put Creeping Dust's ability on the level with a Diablo hero, so capable of banishing the demon king of hell, as needed? Might need some backup to keep going up the power ranks? Creeping Dust comes with magic in addition to combat skill.
💀 Obviously a library rat and always looking for the oldest and most esoteric books.

Current & Upcoming Storylines:

💀 He has borrowed skeletons from John Gaius for his research. His current area of study is in conditional magic sigils. He is probably going to use himself as a guinea pig. (10/30/2023)
