Powers (no more than 150 words): Reference | He's a human occultist, and has made contact with a celestial beast called the Ghost Dog. He resonates with the Ghost Dog's energy, and when he focuses on that energy he can summon various assistance from his patron. A medium multi-hit, a large AoE, and an AoE crowd control.

Personality

What is your character most afraid of? How are they defined by this fear? (100-300 words)

Being bent to another being's control troubles him deeply. Men he is not troubled by, but there are worse things in existence than mankind. TL;DR afraid of mind control, and being integrated.

He wants to know himself and to control his existence. Sokta is a person with a very strong sense of who he is, and this has always been the case. Who he is is also someone who is not intimidated by obstacles and is recklessly driven to overcome. That is why he chooses the secrets of occultism and folk lore over modern-day convenience. The risk and reward ratio is so much higher.

To be consumed by another being would defy all that he holds sacred about himself.

What is your character's greatest desire? How are they defined by this desire? (100-300 words)

Related to the above statements, his greatest desire is knowledge. He's a very 'knowledge is mightier than the sword' kind of guy. It is his ultimate weapon and his ultimate defense. Because he's gotten into occult magic and stuff, his knowledge is actually very powerful and dangerous, so he has reinforced his belief in this.

His secret knowledge is also what leads him to the Ghost Dog. An entity that has promised him a path to rewrite the universe. This arrogant jerk thinks that he can acquire enough knowledge to build a better world. (Think one of the ending options in an SMT story. Or a Bloodborne faction.) While remaking the world is a great desire, it is contingent upon his beliefs in knowledge and the self-determination it provides. He doesn't have this important path he is pursuing without his hunger for knowledge first, and he prioritizes it thus.

How will not having memories change your character? What core personality traits, if any, will change? How? (200-300 words)

His core personality traits are deeply ingrained in him and always have been: stubborn, lonely, truth-seeker. I don't see them changing much. However, he is losing several defining things: he has forgotten he was being pursued by the government, and he has forgotten his grand mission to rewrite the rules of existence. Without these very large distractions, he is free to be more attentive and collaborative with other people. He's still not the... friendliest... but nowhere near as paranoid and secretive.

This paranoia is also part of the "Cold War" genre story. Individualism and collectivism are global ideas that are at war. There is a fear of what methods each side is using: cloning, mind control, and now occultism for this Alt Earth. The occult side raises the stakes of what crimes against humanity may be committed in the name of global dominance. Evil may have been beaten in WW2 but it isn't gone from the world, it is merely regrouping its strength, and every country must be ready. The lines between ally and enemy seem to be shifting all the time behind closed doors.

Losing this context will also add to his ability to be open and collaborative.
